2018年6月17日 ハゼクラ近況 | Hazekura Report: June 17, 2018

梅雨に入り、今週の土日はあいにくの天気
ここからハゼクラクラシーズンの本格化ですが、昨日は急激な気温低下のため撃沈！
今日は午後4時半からの短期釣行です、相変わらずハゼは小さめですが、活性は良くなっていてクランクを追いかけるようになってますね
はじめはシャローをトレモで攻めますが、ハゼが小さいのでバラシまくりです
この状況ではスプーンに切り替えるのが常套手段ですが、やはりクランクベイトで釣りたいので、やや深場を攻める方向にしました。
で、深場のデープクランクの定番はラッキークラフトのディープクラピーですが、
今回はハゼ用ではないですが、春先に出たばかりのモーストバービーを使ってみました。
モーストバービーの動きはウォブリングがいい感じに入っていてハゼに効きそうな感じだったからです

読みどおりつれました、この後もバラシがありましたのでまぁ読みはあたったかなといった感じです、これから梅雨が開けるといよいよハゼクラシーズン本格化です。

The rainy season has begun, and the weather this weekend was unfortunately poor.
The hazekura (goby crankbaiting) season is about to get into full swing, but yesterday I struck out due to a sudden drop in temperature!
Today was a short fishing trip from 4:30 PM. The gobies are still on the small side, but their activity has improved, and they've started chasing crankbaits.
At first, I targeted the shallows with a Toremo, but I kept losing them because the gobies are so small.
The standard tactic in this situation is to switch to a spoon, but since I really wanted to catch them on a crankbait, I decided to target a slightly deeper area.
Now, the go-to deep crankbait for deeper water is the Lucky Craft Deep Cra-Pea, but...
...this time I tried using the Most Barbee, which was just released this spring, even though it isn't specifically for gobies.
I chose it because the Most Barbee has a nice wobbling action that I felt would be effective on the gobies.
So when I switched to the Most Barbee and started retrieving...

My hunch paid off, and I caught one. I lost a few more after this, so I'd say my read on the situation was pretty accurate. The hazekura season will be in full swing once the rainy season ends.

2018年6月２日 バチコン＆ひさしぶりのハゼ | June 2, 2018: Bachikon & Goby Fishing After a While

ひさしぶりのハゼです、少し間があいてしました、先週は江戸川の伊藤遊船さんからバチコンに行ってきました、バチコンご存知でしょうかバーチカルコンタクトという釣り方のルアーでのアジ釣りですジグ単のアジングと違い深場を狙うので型がいいのが特徴です。伊藤遊船さんではLTアジと同船してバチコン可能です（バチコン割引ありです）

で管釣りで縦釣りといえばバーティカルプロ！通称バチプロです
ということでバチプロでバチコンしてみました

結構バチプロバチコンいいですアタリも十分とれますバチコン用のロッド柔らかな繊細なティップに強いバット！まさにバチプロです、ということでバチコンアジング楽しいので専用ロッドでなくても楽しめますぜひ試してみてください。

でハゼですが、まだまだハゼクラではちょいと難しい感じデキハゼのチェイスありますが、なかなか追いきれない感じ、こうゆうときは間違いなくスプーンのほうに軍配があがります。

ということでスプーンにチェンジしてトライ、スプーンだとアタリが出だしますね

なんとか取れましたクランクだめでもスプーンならこのサイズのハゼでもしっかり口に掛かってきますね。

It's been a while since I've been goby fishing. Last week, I went out for "Bachikon" from the Ito Yusen boat service on the Edogawa River. Have you heard of Bachikon? It's a lure fishing method for horse mackerel (aji) called "Vertical Contact." Unlike standard "ajing" with a single jig head, it targets deeper areas, which means you can often catch bigger fish. At Ito Yusen, you can do Bachikon on the same boat as the LT Aji (light tackle horse mackerel) anglers (and there's a discount for Bachikon).

And when you talk about vertical fishing in area trout fishing, you think of the Vertical Pro! It's commonly known as "BachiPro."
So, I decided to try Bachikon fishing with my BachiPro rod.

Using the BachiPro for Bachikon works quite well. You can detect the bites perfectly. A dedicated Bachikon rod has a soft, sensitive tip and a strong butt section—exactly like the BachiPro! So, Bachikon ajing is a lot of fun, and you can enjoy it even without a dedicated rod. You should definitely give it a try.

As for the goby, it still seems a bit difficult for "haze-kura" (goby crankbait fishing). The young "deki-haze" (newly-born goby) are chasing the lures, but they can't seem to quite catch up. In situations like this, spoons definitely have the upper hand.

So, I switched to a spoon and gave it a try. With a spoon, I started getting bites.

Well, the deki-haze are this size, so I guess a crankbait is a bit too much for them.

I managed to catch one. Even when crankbaits aren't working, a spoon can get a solid hook-set on a goby of this size.

Even if haze-kura isn't successful, you might be surprised how many you can catch by trying a spoon. Please give it a try.
